This is a glamorous selection of fabrics, trimmings and appliqués that blends classic Chinoiserie with bright colors and bold patterns. In this collection, Mary McDonald reinterprets traditional textile designs in a clean, graphic style. Beautiful velvets, matelasse and delicate linen prints are embellished with embroidery tapes and appliqués creating a luxurious and elegant mix.
In the breathtaking Chinois Palais, Mary McDonald shows her appreciation for both French classical interiors and Far East modernism. This finely woven linen print was derived from an antique Chinese painted silk mural that featured exotic birds among a flowering tree of peonies and cherry blossoms.
